Not even done with the whole film yet- but I had to start the review! This movie is amazing. Not only is it a beautifully directed and crafted film itself, but the cast speaks for itself. Margot Robbie continues to bring Harley to life in a fabulously crazy way, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett bring two wonderful new characters to the screen (Huntress and Black Canary), and lastly, Ewan McGregor, who plays the flamboyant killer Roman Sionis (Black Mask) beautifully. I was truly impressed by how the unity of femininity against the patriarchal society was depicted. I left this movie with a sense of unity, and proud to be represented by these badass women. As a Batman fan, I was super stoked to see all these characters done justice with this film. The action is fun and interesting as well- never a dull moment. The costumes were beautiful, and the set as welI. Specifically the last big fight scene in the fun house was super cinematically pleasing!! I will forever be talking about this scene!!! Even the music was awesome!! I could not be more pleased with the result. I find it tragic this movie did not get the recognition it deserved for the empowering message underlying throughout the film. Overall, Birds of Prey is a quirky must have for anyone, and I need a sequel!! For sure see this film- its worth the money!!! FLAWLESS!
