Visually reasonably engaging but full of cliches. Did the director have a tick box which he could mark off when each one had been included viz stockings, pub songs, tube station and so on. Too many packed into the film. Georgie being trapped by the evil ones was a latter day Dickensian feature. Acting was good especially the young boy but gee did he ever survive some sticky predicaments.
A bit of a trivialisation of a terrifying time
which, in this case, turned it into a kind of light entertainment.
