Giving this movie a full fledge 5-star rating Just because this whole movie deserves it. Only watching it first time, I did wonder at times throughout the movie if the editors need a long break after working on this film. They might be the ones having their minds intertwined! Jokes aside, i believed this movie can not be handled any better as everything has been made clear on screen as The Protagonist learns throughout the development of the events that unfold, opening us up into a world where both times intertwined within the same space, resulting even the same person can co-exist in the same space (past, present, future) in which we get to see the PAST protagonist’s point of view first, leading on to the FUTURE protagonist’s view due to him going back to the past, and then only the PRESENT protagonist’s view after using the time inversion device in the past. As for the part i mentioned things being made clear on screen, when events are unfolding, the camera works have been hinting and showing us clearly what was going on especially with the weird scenes where time is being inverse since it first unfold, and throughout when we are watching the PAST protagonist’s point of view, the objects are fine and good but suddenly they have been cracks and damaged by the next second indicating something had happened with the interference by a time traveler (inverted person) or an object from the future (inverted object). Things may be happening fast but that is all good to keep up with the intensity of the film. Hence, this is a very intelligent film and i must say it was my first time catching on so much after first screening in all of Nolan’s movies (besides The Dark Knight series). I will not compare this to Memento, Inception and Interstellar because they are all different films and wrapping around different context and anchor points. However cinematographic aspects between this films, i must say Nolan has indeed improved by miles for Tenet. Things can be handled better but so far I can’t think of how can it be done besides probably better castings but these casts holds themselves very well throughout the entire film. It is no surprised that no matter how good of a film this is, many viewers will still leave the halls confused, unresolved questions and could not keep up after their first screening but everyone to their own speed in following up to these events as we do not see this kind of film everywhere, or not being done by much especially with time traveling with an unfamiliar law of physics which we hardly being introduced to, time inversion. Overall, a full fledge 5-star for me and i enjoyed this movie very much.
