This is one of the most overhyped books I have ever read. The plot is twisted, there is some serious disturbing things in it and some things which I think have been tried to normalize or made look okay to happen. The worst part was the ending Lowen despite of being aware that Jeremy had practically lied to her about not knowing of the existence of manuscript before and knowing that he was the one who actually tried to kill her first time remains silent because she empathizes with him. Lowen in her hate let alone stops jeremy from killing verity feels satisfied after her demise. This novel somehow justifies that what Lowen and Jeremy did with verity was okay and even though there were doubts created about innocence of verity in the end Lowen just decides to keep quite which shows her own selfishness not the concerns for Jeremy actually. Overall I would not suggest this novel to everyone Please look for the trigger warnings of this books before reading it.

This is one of the best thrillers I have actually read so far, it beautifully challenges the psychological state of every character and somehow you are also left with challenging yours. The way it takes about psychology makes it actually very easy to understand the whole concept and even what must be going on in the mind of Alecia and Theo himself. Indeed a very beautifully written book however to my personal opinion the final stage of the book needed more space in the book, it would have been better if we have more on the thoughts of Theo as he was revealed to be the main person behind all that mess. Nevertheless its a very good book to kick of your psychic personality.
