I watched charlie back in 2017 and liked the film so much that i didnt want to watch this remake. I didnt want to lose that Charlie experience. I was wrong, i watched Maara today and i have to say, the movie is extremely well made. while charlie was more of a hippie and a playful mid 20s chap, Maara is a man in his 40s or late 30s. The maturity levels of 40s man is shown really well and even climax for that matter is very maturely crafted. Good work team. I liked the film from start to finish.

Thailavrism and racy script kept the movie going. Not a single minute did i feel the film was lagging. Every scene was crafted for rajni. It has got style, emotion, sovial message, thalaivarism and ofcourse people have been slowly injected with the fact that thalaivar is old. Yogi babu keeps reminding us of that with his witty comeback..
