I can't say enough good things about Six of Crows. The universe that Leigh Bardugo has built is so colourful and rich that I was engrossed in the plot from the first page on. The plot of the novel centres on six crooks and misfits who band together to pull off a risky heist that has the potential to make them all extremely wealthy. The novel's exploration of themes of devotion, friendship, and the possibility of atonement was what I found most admirable. The characters are all really intricately rendered, and I really like how each of their separate tales came together to form a bigger story. The book moves along at a great pace, with lots of action and tension to keep you turning the pages.
