Jason did great once again! Please let there be a season 4! Despite any negative reviews, this show related to me on a personal level as I am 50% Native. The show doesn't claim "this is exactly what happened" however, it gives you a perspective of what sort of events and politics were going on at the time. The Native dialects are not of concern as I grew up learning about all sorts of tribal dialects. The Native school I attended taught many types of Northwest Coastal tribal languages. -Some of which were derived from other closely related tribes. This show gives insight into Native American history that seems to slip between the cracks in society -especially in 2020. It also gives insight into early economical structure and how much it differs today. It brings to life this specific part of this 1700's era; --that we often just read about in history books. How many movies or TV shows (not documentaries) do you see that contain Native American culture? It's wonderful to see such a popular actor starring and assisted in producing a series --bringing alive what it was like to be both Native and European during this era. Please note the opening theme song is fantastic! If you've been to any Native events, you'd see why it gives you goosebumps.
