The movie was decent. It had a great message, that was uplifting and inspiring. However, the movie struggled greatly with the writing and directing. There is a scene in the beginning where the family is sitting at the table and the main character leaves the table. This is fine at first, then later in the movie, this character does the same thing at the dinner table, and as a movie watcher, I start to realize, wait, he did that earlier didn’t he? Then, nearly 15 seconds later, it happens again, and the main character comes off in the wrong way and it just seems pointless and repetitive. This is just one example of poor writing. The directing missed on many occasions. The reviews of this movie point out a certain scene where a guy comes to fix the families engine because it doesn’t run and it is an incorrect way that he fixes it. Which shows just how little the director tried to understand the scene and to make an accurate movie. I think the acting was pretty good, could be worse, but again, it really comes from the writing and directing that you can really blame the movie for being how it ended up.
