As a passionate fan of the original movie, the best thing I could say about the remake is that it is visually impressive and of course very realistic. However due to the limitations of using photorealistic animation, the vigour, colour, expression and movements of the original are totally lost. The biggest moments that were supposed to be the most emotional, such as the stampede, Be Prepared and Remember Who You Are, were dulled down and restricted, as well as key pieces of dialogue being randomly taken away. I felt no real emotion watching this. It was bizarre, the characters felt tired and unnatural compared to the intricately crafted and detailed personalities of the originals. For a film that is meant to be hyper-realistic, it didn't feel anywhere near as real as the original film. I'm not saying that experimenting with photo realism is a bad thing, I just think that this was the wrong film do to it.
