Very few open world games can keep my attention these days but Biomutant does not feel repetitive. It's vast open world offers true freedom with even main story events having a few different branches.
The world isn't just big but very well thought out. It has an excellent balance of open landscape, villages and areas to search for treasure or find new quests. At 36 hours of gameplay I've still only seen half of the world.
The combat is the weakest link but with all the interesting parts you will come across to literally piece together your own weapons, there is plenty of variety if you feel the need to change it up.
For a $60 price tag this game definitely delivers.
