Dustin “supsociety”

Wow! Took 2 of the kiddos and the wife, and both of us were pleasantly surprised! Fantastic movie and an absolute blast to watch.

Don’t waste your money. There’s an old saying, quality over quantity. Some games now a-days heavily focus on quantity, some are short but high quality, some somehow do both perfectly. Callisto does neither. Games like assassins creed Valhalla offer a lot of quantity with sprinkled bits of quality, could shorten it to 40 hours and it would be a significantly better game. Games like Skyrim somehow do both, can crush the story in 10 hours or spend hundreds exploring the world. Then there’s games like The last of Us part one which can be beat in 12-15 hours but offer an unforgettable experience. Callisto protocol is an 7+ hour corridor game that has one of the most forgettable cast and story that I’ve played in a long time. With 0 replay-ability you might as well wait until the games 20 bucks and crush it out in a weekend to get your monies worth. The horror is sadly on the lower end. The blood and gore and visuals are FANTASTIC, the only redeeming quality. If you really wanna go and spend just south of 100 dollars to play game that’s obviously designed to be a test model for future games then be my guest.

A few spoilers, so don’t read past the first paragraph. The movie wasn’t bad. I sat through it and enjoyed it a bit, but my god was there a lot of pointless garbage to this movie that could have been left out. I’d watch it again if a buddy was interested but I’d likely be on my phone the whole time. I get the whole monkey thing, building up the territorial creatures and animalistic nature and all that but that entire part of the movie could have just been left out. It peeks your curiousness at first but nothing happens with it. The alien creature at the end looked stupid and I didn’t feel any attatchment to it whatsoever like I did with the main “villains” of Peeles first two films. The entire camera setup was completely pointless, like they spend a good 45 minutes with that part of the plot and what happens? A bug lands on a camera and we get a couple side shots of the action during the climax. I spent most of my time watching the film just waiting for some big reveal, some jaw dropping moment, something just crazy that makes you think “wow this has never been done before” but it just never came. Definitely a bit disappointed in this one. If you are going into the film expecting a masterpiece like Get Out, or something that has you on the edge of your seat like Us then you probably won’t enjoy the movie.

I cannot recommend this game. If you not playing on a monster of a rig just save your money. All consoles and most mid range-minimum specked pcs are having serious issues running the game, with large amounts of refunds flooding in. It was the worst game launch experience I personally have ever experienced. Was unplayable on my Xbox, couldn’t even make it to the quest objectives without npcs popping in and dying in front of my vehicle causing police to swarm the area and kill me, textures not loading, 16 adverage FPS with clocking in 5-11 FPS in gun fights, 4 crashes, 6 freezes all in the span of about 2-3 hours. From what actually worked, and what I experienced from the story it seems like it will be an amazing game, although in the future when it’s patched.
