Forgettable!! Don't fall for those who are rating this movie highly calling it an amazing story. There is absolutely nothing in this 160 minutes of pain. Another movie targetted towards posh couture. When you do not like a movie or it's story line, you do not notice any good performance. I would say it is not worth investing 2 hours 30 minutes to this motion picture. There is absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. Only thing I remember is exaggerated performance of few actors and people yawning and yawn is contagious. The story revolves around RK and Bassi who provides breakup services to couple. Amazing wardrobe, amazing location, few tracks are peppy and good choreography. That's it. The ending was strange, the sequence of activities in theclimax was strange. How can you just walk into immigration without showing tickets, not sure. They must have had tickets. When an actor delivers a stand out performance in a film, I suppose it is hard to come out of it even though the film fails to print money. This is not the case with this film. Nothing much to remember or mention in terms of performance. I totally sympathize with the folks who reviewed the film as amazing.

It's an Akshay Kumar's film. It is hard to believe that this film is declared flop, a disaster and failed to attract the audience in theatres. I would say the film is nice and has it's peaks and lows. It is based on true story and I haven't watched the Tamil version but I have an idea of Captain Gopinath's story. The story is a bit manipulated to make it fit with the Hindi audience , might be that is the mistake, makers did. I don't really know but I liked the film. The film throws light towards the white collar mafia's in our industry, the corruption, how rich can alter the laws to sabotage a new comer, how laws are altered overnight by just a phone call, bureaucracy, Indian politics and much more things which is sad to witness. The moment where Paresh insisted to fire an employee just because he used the washroom, was really cold, sad, disrespectful & inhuman. In terms of performance , it is an Akshay 's film. His performance is another level, vere level performance. Few emotions he portrayed so well. Like Salman said, Akshay has evolved to be one of the best actor in today's time. Paresh Rawal was good as always, he reprises the role from the Tamil film. Akshay and Paresh in a film is a deadly cocktail. You got to acknowledge the calmness Paresh Rawal sir brought in the character, the way he expressed the panic attacks is great. The supporting actors were the life line of the film. Seema Biswas who played Akshay's mother was amazing. She is great as always. I don't get tired seeing her at all. Akshay 's friend from air force who played Chaitanya and Sam were great. They had a good screen time and they justified their part. I liked Chaitanya 's father in law who tirelessly taunted him through out the film. Two actors who stood out apart from the above are Anil Charanjeet who portrayed the role of Mandar, a friend of Akshay from his village & Jay Upadhyay who portrayed the character of Rani's maternal uncle. They brought life into their characters. The film was good and is an emotional story. I think, the movie did not do well because of the negative publicity against Akshay which were circulating in the industry. The film is otherwise a good watch.

Flawed but Decent !! I had no problem with the film except the last 10 minutes. If the last 10 minutes is erased from the film , it would have been a decent film. The last bit where Kajol re-appeals after realising her mistake was a complete unnecessary for me. The last 10 could have been a 2 minutes discussion between the two Kritis and Kajol instead of a court room drama. Such a waste. It is a good story, a fresh story unless it is copied from somewhere, till we get to know, the story is fresh, able to keep the audience hooked. In terms of performance , Shaheer Sheik was amazing. Kriti was good as well but at times I felt she was a bit over the top. Kajol and Tanvi Azmi was superb. They acted so well. I wish Kajol would have just struck with Hindi instead of trying to bring a Punjabi or Haryanvi accent or trying to speak foul language which made it look really silly. It's high time for A-List bollywood actors to understand the fact that they simply can't bring those accents. It just make things a bit annoying. Over all a below average film, which can be watched on a rainy night / evening when you have nothing much to do.

Decent Watch !! One of the important ingredient of a horror flick is it's narrative which holds the audience and their interest together. This is not really a horror flick though, a more like a black magic movie. Talking about this movie, the narrative seemed gripping when Madhavan started his deeds on the girl, however, when the purpose of that deed was revealed, it did not justify or come close to the conviction. The way Madhavan portrayed his character was top notch, he convinced everyone that he is a shaitaan, he made most of us hate him for what he was doing on that family and the girl, however, when the climax approached , he seemed stupid. The purpose of all his doing was very unsatisfactory for the volume of torture he applied on the family to take the girl away from her parents so the purpose needs to be of similar weight which was not. That is the disappointment. I do not think, Jyotika had much to do in the film, the performance by the girl under possession was great. Ajay as a father was convincing in the last few minutes of the movie, the little kid was good as well. Overall it's a one time watch and forgettable. Cheers !!

This got to be one of the best films I have ever seen. An amazing movie. All credits to the screeplay writer. So beautifully written so skillfully acted. The scene in police station , I watched over & over again & believed that Cassey Affleck gave the performance of the decade in this movie. The scene between Lee & Randi at the end of the movie was another master piece. It was hard for any actor to beat them in this scene. I wish there are more movies like this. Cassey won his Oscar for best actor in a leading role & this is so justified. The screenplay writer won an Oscar too. That is very fair.

It's one of those movies which takes you back exactly at that phase when you passed 12th standard & wait for the next phase of your life to happen or begin. I loved the way, how makers have synced the present with the past & made the us all binded with the story. You do not loose any interest while watching the move. Also it is tough for any audience to predict what's gonna happen next. This is a movie every college going student should watch with their parent & also every student who aspires to go to a college should watch along with their parent. The sets, costume, frames are simple yet so relatable. I almost lost faith in watching college movies after SOTY series but this movie have regained that faith. 2019 should belong to this movie & as an audience it's our duty to appreciate such movies which are high in content & powerful in acting. It is a must watch & we should celebrate such efforts.
