ok, so, a lot of people don't like this game, some outright HATE it. But I have already put in 24 hours, and have collected 81 "Tims". This game is not for everyone, and it is most certainly not PERFECT or Game of the Year material, but it's a little game that set out to make me happy and it DID. In my opinion it's very easy and hand holdy, but it rewards risk and exploration. I think it's really fun and imaginative. I'd also like to bring up the game NiGHTS into Dreams on the sega saturn. To this day many people hated that game, but it was a pivotal part of my childhood and the way I play video games. As soon as I saw the trailer, I wanted Balan Wonderworld, no matter what the game-play was like. I wanted to see this world, I wanted to know the stories of these characters, and I was not (fully) disappointed. I WILL say, the controls are the WORST part of this game, sometimes you'll get a costume that cannot JUMP, the mocap dancing looks weird on the models, sometimes the graphics bug out and freeze for a second, and I really would like to know what Balan and the characters are saying in Japanese. It's a colorful adventure that I and a surprisingly large group of people genuinely love and hope to see more of, it's not perfect, but it will make someone happy.
