I was a fan of TV series "The Prisoner" as a kid, and I'm enjoying it all over again as an adult, including the music (and not just the theme), the bicycle logo, and the acting. I remember the broadcast being in black and white and now with all the vivid colors I'm just amazed how beautiful the scenery is. I also love the cast, especially Patrick McGoohan (writer, director and actor in the main role), and stuntman Frank Maher as McGoohan's double. They are superb!
The Prisoner's main character (Patrick McGoohan) is the defiant and individualist "Number 6." He continuously tries to escape from an incredibly beautiful prison community called "The Village." I love the security balloon, known as the "Rover" that prevents prisoners from escaping the village and wish it were used in every episode.
Most of the episodes between the opening and the closing of the series can be viewed as standlones, so you can watch them in any order. The western-cowboy-style episode "Living in Harmony" for example, is extremely different from all the other episodes until it pulls you back into the main theme.
My only regret is that the final episode ends the series so there is only one season with 17 episodes. I could have watched additional episodes before the chaotic closing, but I guess all good things must come to an end.
