Each scene is very thoughtfully written. Quite a good attempt at making a film that raised awareness about a long forgotten tragedy.

Can't stop drooling over how fantastic this series was. Sushmita Sen is excellent.

Brilliantly made movie. Reminded me of my UPSC preparation days in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. Brings out the cultural misunderstandings with the North Eastern community in such a nice way. Also highlights the discrimination they face in Delhi and other parts of the mainland. All this is wrapped up in balanced doses of seriousness as well as comedy. In the end, the movie gives a nice message of oneness. A very pleasant ending is sheer delight. There should be more such movies highlighting north east Indian culture. Also, north eastern actors should be given more chances to act in mainstream indian films. They all are just so talented.

The child has acted so very brilliantly. However, the director - Safdar Rahman - has insulted Hindus and Hinduism in such subtle ways, that you won't even notice. Calling a generic monkey as hanuman and saying that some lady slapped hanuman. A hanuman chalisa reciting shopkeeper with tilak on forehead abuses and beats up the little boy. The hindu woman who married newspaper man (chippa's father), is the vamp who has ruined his life. The drunk rich guy outside the pub asking the boy in suspicious tone whether he is a muslim. However, all muslims (the tea/son padi vendor, the newspaper man) are good people. The grouse is not why muslim characters are portrayed good, but the subtle ways the director pushes his agenda of hatred against Hindus. The director, because of his stupid hindu hate, has taken the sheen off the brilliant performance by the child. PS- One of the dialogues also unnecessarily bashes a political leader. But I won't specify it, otherwise it will be mistaken that my anger against the movie is due to some affection towards that leader, which is not the case.
