The movie carries out the full fears of a good-natured masculine family man. Evan (Keanu Reeves) is preyed upon out of malevolence and is cast into tragedy and grief on every level by the incarnation of the deprivation of sex he is experiencing as confirmed early in the movie. The problem is this is not done with any real structure, and does a terrible job of reversing the power play by having female predators. No real message is present other than "this could happen to you in some weird twisted version of reality". Methods behind the actions of the girls are revealed to have little purpose, which I am only able to attribute to the chaotic nature of youth. However, it does not coalesce with the slow reveal of this being a premeditated series of crimes. It is almost like everyone involved in this film had a completely different idea of what they were working towards. The major fault lies at the conception, and those directing this movie should learn how to properly execute environmental storytelling if they ever choose to make something akin to this in the future.
