This show really doesn’t have anything to do with Clint. This show had so much potential to get into Clint’s past when he was Ronin, or his and Nats relationship outside of what we saw, his relationship with his family, the avengers, his trama and ptsd, so much wasted potential. I am all for bringing more woman into the mcu universe, but it’s hard to enjoy Kate when it’s so forced. She could be a great character if her character was consistent, one moment she’s a goofy and acts like a kid, the next moment she’s a sophisticated Marshall arts major. They constantly just add more to Kates character to fill out a “superhero” checklist. Also I think we all know by now that Clint is one of the most Intelligent avengers and the cheesy situations he gets himself into, aren’t even matched to his skills. He was a avenger for over 20 years and then plot just didn’t even match him at all. It’s hard to watch Jeremy play a character he knows so well and played so long and used to enjoy playing, completely not want to play the part anymore. Jeremy is a incredible actor and his work inside the mcu and outside has definitely proven it, but this is not his best work, but it’s not even him. It’s the role. I think that the plot is cheesy and not even close to anything the mcu is like, and what they have built it to become. I think that honestly, it would have been better to not have the series at all, and to introduce Kate in a later stage, and left Clint’s story how it was. I have no hate towards the actors, and I think that this is clearly just another role for them. But just a let down for Clint’s story, truly wasted potential. Also it feels like another cheesy, made up superhero tv show that isn’t even connected to the mcu. It almost feels like the Russians added to the tv are very stereo typical, and almost made fun of how cowardly they act. As a Russian, I didn’t even find it very funny and mostly cringey. They overused the dumb Russian persona to much in the show. Also when it comes to the action and fighting scenes you can clearly tell 100% that Kate is not doing anything, you can tell when they fake it, or when they purposely flip over. It’s just not realistic for her skills. And the green screen and the cgi, is not great, and you can tell they didn’t spend a lot of time into it. But no hate towards the creators in those departments, I 100% understand deadlines and things that would contribute towards it not being at those standards. But when it comes to the mcu, they are known for their well done work, and how you can’t even tell was real or not. Again, no hate towards the actors included in this show, this is just my opinion on the show and how felt about it’s execution.
