Cheeky Monk

It's somewhat slow, somewhat ponderous, somewhat blasphemous, somewhat stereotypical and somewhat tedious. The premise at the outset was promising but it fails to take off at any point.

I found it laugh out loud funny at times so mission accomplished in that regard.

Bar episode 3, which was unnecessarily longer and incredibly tedious comparer to the other five episodes, the pace of the storytelling was engaging. The plot is believable given where we are in the world right now and paints a grim picture of humankind. It'll be interesting to see if there is a second series given how it ended but it's fairly easy to make your own assumptions of what may have happened as the credits rolled.

Started off promisingly but by the middle of Episode 4, I really wasn't bothered about the lead characters... for the life of me, I could not understand why the irrational sad sack just handed over the money and then thought it was better to jump off a moving train to retrieve the money! The show also failed to explain why Alice/Fiona deleted Ruby's "Run" message in one flashback. I also struggled to understand why despite having a sack load of cash, they didn't bother getting a change of clothes or even underwear. The ending was ok as it left scope for a second series but should they bother?! I think not.

A nice, easy watch with a decent soundtrack.

Boring and predictable. Couldn't wait for it to end.

Had high hopes after seeing the movie's rating but it was deeply underwhelming in all aspects.

Found the series to be a complete drag other than the first ten minutes. Huge focus on the relationships involving the characters; all of which were cliched. Hope this series gets blasted into orbit, never to be found again. Awful.

I was intrigued at first as the portrayal of the tortured soul that is Baker Dill reels you in (no pun intended!) At some point it began to feel like the Truman Show but then it kinda fell off a cliff descending into something somewhat farcical. The movie might appeal to those who immerse themselves in a virtual reality world.

A thrilling series which I binge watched in one day. Would highly recommend for anyone into this genre. Helen portrayed the character with grace and a fine rebuttal to those who choose to paint these amazing humans in real life as "lefty lawyers/loonies." Series like this will stand the test of time. Quite a legacy. RIP Helen.
