This movie has my heart. It's spellbinding. I'm so speechless by its freshness, it's beauty, its purity, its simplicity that I don't have enough words to describe it. This movie is beyond words! It's classic Hindi cinema, beyond the trash, gimmick and Bollywood balderdash! Only 5 stars, nothing less!

At the very outset let me say I'm a huge fan of Malayalam cinema! The depth, the restraint, the slow burning treatment of characters, of situations is something that elevates their movies, unlike Tamil or Telugu cinema (Telugu is pure trash, not even talking about it) Coming to the film, Christy! This is just constructive criticism! Exploring an older woman-younger man relationship is always complex! However, the plot of the movie is simple, it's not a suspense thriller with many layers and sub plots that need to be told for almost 2.5 hours! It could have been over in 2 hours. I loved the character of Roy! The innocence, the naivety, the recklessness of teenage love! The young actor plays the role perfectly! Problematic is the woman's character! It's dubious and shallow. She doesn't know what she wants. Whether she wants to have a relationship with the boy or wants him away from him! She has no problem when the boy kisses her forcibly but later ignores him at the airport! Sloppy writing of the woman character! As much as I loved the boy's character, his confusion & desperation, I was dismayed by the character of Christy and the frustrating climax! Wish it was written better! 3 stars for Mathew, the picturesque shots of Kerala and the beautiful music! It's a good movie, could hv been better!!

Thoroughly enjoyable, the heist, the thrills, the socio political arc, the character shades, the performances and the superb songs. Can't give it 4 stars because of few flabby unnecessary scenes, OTT humour (I'm not an audience for this), and that annoying redundant character called Pori. She is one reason why 1 star for the film stands reduced.

This movie is a royal mess!! The director had no clue what she wanted from the actors. Isha saha is one bloody annoying actress with same expression in all movies. Anirban is wasted Only 2 stars for the songs

I so wanted to root for this film, but this underwhelming, downer of a climax stole the stars for the film. The film is like a dear dream sequence that's going on and you don't want it to break. And suddenly someone splashes cold water on your face and leaves you bloody high and dry. The dream ends. The climax is like the cold water. It's not the vindication I was looking for. As a viewer I felt defeated. The writer could have taken the story elsewhere, but the message is so depressing. It's bewildering and dampening at the same time. I just asked myself, "Why?? Why this??"

I have to say that I found the concept of the film heartwarming but the treatment lethargic! It's a simple slice of life drama about a dysfunctional family. But the writer/director dragged it to a pain position by overstretched, repetitive, redundant scenes. Some characters also felt unnecessary. There's no point of making this film a 2.5 hours saga

The most overrated Bengali film I've watched in recent times

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed watching the film. An interesting blend of sentiments, traditions and thrill. And an uncompromising commentary of terror and how the border states are the tinderbox of insurgent activities!! A brave, outspoken stand!

The only 3 things I loved about the movie...sorry 4 things! Arjun Chakraborty, Madhurima, the love letter "priyo jhor" and the song "bhalobashar morshum" The rest are utterly forgettable! Anindya looks like an anorexic patient and Shruti looks like a mental asylum survivor throughout!!
