A thought-provoking and masterfully told story
Warning spoilers ahead
Well, the show intrigues from the beginning and the audience always get caught by the stunning screenplay. Jack is the best and the most amazing character on show.... just love him. About the ending, i would definitely like to write because its not truly understood by the audience and that's exactly why they didn't like it. Its actually an open ending... Because they wanted the audience to understand it in their own perspective and it can be put in a number of different ways. The ending is totally symbolic..what's really evident is that it was "the heart of the island" all along and it was one thing that brought all those people on the island. It wanted to be seen by those who were seeking it ,they were all desperate and "lost"and broken and tormented and that's the only reason they crashed on that island because they all wanted to be healed. It was the light that was calling them all along.....Everything that happened, happened. Even when the bomb goes off and they shift in an alternate reality and all that time travel it was all happening for the light to be eventually found and what that light is?....... its LIFE, its DEATH and its REBIRTH. And they lived on that island, travelled back in time and then back where they started, cried together and laughed together and died and then they were reborn....why??? To find that light again in the end..."the heart of the island".it was where they went back and its where they moved on.........and its exactly where they got "lost" and became a part of it.
