West world surely doesn't deserve the praise it may have received. I myself feel deceived into watching it. Its shallow attempt to sound celebral and philosophical is betrayed by its inability to neatly tie the loose ends. There are a myriad contradictions throughout, many intended-to-look-brillinat scenes and dialogues that are in fact hollow. There wasn't a single character that I was able to either admire or relate to, to either be fond of or appreciate to see more of. There was also too much tedious repetition.
What's more, the centre of its whole idea excruciatingly lacks originality, as it appears to be a lustful edition of the brilliant Matrix.
PS: I have only watched season 1 and the two episodes of season 2. But I don't intend to keep watching.
