My daughter liked it and it had some sweet moments but overall lacked imagination and was totally predictable. Plus the weird American/Canadian ancient deer that were supposed to be Irish (what?!?!) Unfortunate because I love me some Pierce Brosnan. If you want to see a great and true Irish animated feature watch Wolfwalkers.
