Solid 4 star movie with tons of action with some settings more realistic then I cared for.
As a Veteran it took me back to a place I truly didn't want to go to. Realistically there's a bond between soldiers and interpreters, for instance: I had a vastly different experience than Jake Gyllenhaal did...
The movie itself wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Would I watch it again? Yes, I would.
Guy Ritchie truly got the frustration of bureaucracy 100% correct!!! I could feel the frustration through the screen, as if I was going through it myself.
The beginning was kinda slow and I had wished there was more of a character (s) build up with the team. Still not bad though. The Taliban check points and the taking of interpreter's families we're accurate,The shootout looked realistic enough and so do the "shops" and "stores" in country. I also loved how the "bad guy" wants more money for information 🤣 10000% accurate and made me laugh!!!
It's a good movie covering a sensitive topic that I would absolutely watch again. Solid 4 stars.
