Great. I remember loving this as a child and even more reading it as an adult. The relationship with the raccoon is the main focus, and the times it was written about make it that much better. A long lost time when people still trusted each other to not lock their front doors, when it was safe for children to explore the world. I love the descriptions of ancient Indian and settler trails in northern Wisconsin. I felt myself transported to a better time and place, especially compared to 2020. The descriptions about how they handled Spanish flu were eerily similar to our covid mask.
