Jump scares ruin movies. This one doesn't match up with the other movies as it claims Samara was trapped in the church with her father. The first movie has her with another father. There are too many plot holes.

Any time anything good started to happen, it was ruined by extreme strobe lighting. I get the effect for dramatics but this whole movie became unbearable. Strobes in every scene where there was an action part that was crucial to the storyline. Strobes in the final part of the movie. It was impossible to watch.

Absolutely underrated. Had me guessing the whole time.

*Spoilers* This movie was so so good until the ending. Why is the deputy all the sudden cuddly with the market cashier in church like they knew each other the whole movie? Why does the deputy break out a flask but claim he's sober in the same sentence? Why did the creature target his house only? This creature is supposed to be huge but likes to toss around tiny toys in a church one second and slams the floor when it walks the next. Ok.

I highly regret not looking into the DV aspects of this film before watching. However, I'm now more intrigued by RR trying to destroy Justin's career. What an amazing actor. What a shame.

This movie slows down in the middle. Keep going.

Poor Justin Timberlake is always getting arrested and foreshadowed his own demise in this movie.

What a mess. Acceptable: screaming indoors, drinking alcohol on the strongest pain med created. Creatures can see in car mirrors. Not ok: any screaming at all at any time. Loud breathing. Make it make sense.
