What I worried was going to be a heavy read, ended up thwarting my assumptions and becoming a thoroughly enjoyable read. One of the finest works of Indian mytho-fiction after ages. One of the central characters in the book - Drishadvati exercising her agency yugas (eons) ago, at a time when rules and principles were set in stone and finding my own relevance to those aspects of life, character and womanhood today, was the ultimate experience of reading this book.
