A very important contribution by two of the most senior social scientists in Singapore, namely, Chan Heng Chee and Sharon Siddique, ably supported by Irma Nurlina Masron and Dominic Cooray, that updates our knowledge of Singapore's fascinating version of multiculturalism, quite different from the familiar cases of Australia, Canada and the USA. Conceptually informed and empirically rich, with data gathered from the field in the last five years. Critics of Singapore multiculturalism, mostly based on armchair critiques, have to up their scholarly game with equally competent field research to obtain original findings to rebut the arguments and narratives found in "Singapore's Multiculturalism: Evolving Diversity" (2019). This book is a must read for those interested in Singapore, young and old.
