So it's clear there is a mix of those that find the ending and plot to be horrible without conclusion and riddled with holes, and those that found it complex and immersive and have concluded their own assumption to the ending plot twist. Leaving that debate to the side however, there is so much more that annoyed me with this movie. From the terrible lighting effects (too dark) to the over dramatic response from the governess at every turn. The repeated and constant heavy breathing and fear expressed at every eventful scene I found just over dramatic and annoying. It felt as though the director was trying to hard to build a suspense and fear that just wasn't there, leaving me half way through just bored with the whole thing. To make it simple, this movie was not thrilling, terrifying, or suspenseful AT ALL! It has certainly hit my list of top worst movies.
