This is a wonderful psychological thriller, not horror story. Suspenseful and sometimes bewildering storylines carry a full complement of classically archetypal characters through to a satisfying conclusion. Every episode drew me further into a state of willing suspension of disbelief. Unlike horror productions, OA delivers suspense without relying on gratuitous images of violence and lets the viewers’ imaginations connect the dots.
