I usually use Rotten Tomatoes as my baseline for a movie. If encounter is where I take my stand, then so be it. A) Already in love with Riz Ahmed. B) the kid playing “Bobby” is just great. The movie is just enough of a twist to keep people who are even half paying attention interested in the material. Don’t listen to rotten tomatoes. Watch Encounter.
