I’ve seen this a few times now. I think it’s a beautiful film on so many levels. I know people wanted a predictable sequel story but I love that this film went off in its own direction. Once you accept the narrative of bizarro fantasy undercut by violent and heartbreaking sadness it becomes a very unique film experience. In my top 10 of the year.

Anderson has always had a raw toughness covering a beautiful soul and this film captures that perfectly.

One of those films that grows better and better over time. My whole family has seen it many times and we still all love it. A highly improbable escapist fantasy action film with a great cast. Paul Bettany is absolutely perfect in this, one of his best roles ever in my view. Corny lines throughout. Lots of guns and shooting and heroics. Total fun. A perfect Saturday night popcorn movie.

I can't remember a film that started so well and ended so poorly. As it walked through cliche after cliche and one implausible scenario after another it made me wonder what happened. Did they have twenty writers who were all guaranteed a scene each even if they made no sense together? Wow. I'd give it 25% purely on Rapace's opening twenty minutes.
