I like the book series, but I'll have to be honest, this book just.. I don't know, different than the others (1-5), The plot felt kind of rushed and I was hoping the Stone keeper Trio (Emily,Trellis,Vigo) would do the "Elf king face reveal" but turns out it was Emily herself. And forgetting to mention, Navin's story is PAINFULLY long. Navin is a good character, but he takes up almost the whole book in the last 3 books of the series. The phoenix conflict was solved way too fast, but the art remains good. I still don't understand,what happened to the elves?! why is the yet creepy but hella unique style gone? Sure I'll admit, when I first read Amulet, I was so creeped out of the design but made me want to read more. Otherwise, this book is OK, and I LOVE the Amulet series! These are just the things I worry about so hopefully book 9 is better!

But not going to like i actually like this show. It's pretty funny to watch, either way, I'd rather watch spongebob
