I loved this movie. It was a simple story of a parent who chose to have his son Ponmile, spend some time in a mechanics shop because his grade were dropping. Watching Ponmile navigate the life of mechanics, their loves, conflict, eating habits and so forth, gave me glimpse of their world. The big sisterly care of Simi was palpable for she extended it to all in the yard. I chuckled at the male bravado as they struggled to vy for Simi's attention. The celebration of Goke's graduation, affirm chants, music, and apellations all added to the authenticity of the scenes. I understood the relevance of the planes flying over, for Ponmile demonstrated he had the ears for identifying engines. At the end of the day he came to love mechanics and love school. This is a perfect example of progressive and realistic education, connecting academics with practical education. Hypothetically, if Ponmile were to become an engineer, he will be practical and innovative. Thank you film writer for sharing this story. You took me home.
