If you're familiar with death game stories then this one is practically the same as all the others. I've indulged in Danganronpa, yttd, battle royale, hunger games and other stories of the like many times and squid game doesn't really stand out with those stories. Don't get me wrong squid game is good but once you get a taste of death games it just doesn't feel the same once you watch more of them. I recommend squid game the most out of the ones I've listed only if you're not familiar with the genre since what makes it different is that it's stylistic without being pretentious and is cheeky when appropriate. I do appreciate that it came out the time it did since the death game genre is dying out. My favorite part about the show i think is that it doesn't stay in one scene too long and you're left starting at someone's face for a whole minute for no reason. That seems to be a problem with media nowadays and I'm glad squid game doesn't do that 7.5/10 show
