Laura Diamond is not likable because she acts like the rules don’t apply to her at work or in child rearing. She shows up to work looking like an absolute slob. Her kids are barely kept alive in the meantime. It seems like she can’t do anything but her job well. And even then she only seems to solve the cases due to lucky guesswork. It’s like saying if you are a working mom, you focus on one or you fail at both. And your husband is going to cheat on you because you can’t be devoted to him due to your work. As a working mom, all that goes wrong is your fault and your fault only. For a show that came out in the mid 2010s, that is an incredibly dated notion. Not said to see the quick, abrupt cancellation of this one.
