I literally hated this. I tried I really did but just couldn't get there. Don't put yourselves through this thing. It's really bad, bad story unlikable characters and you're left up in the air. I watched it all the way through thinking at least I would know what was going on but no. It just leaves you hanging. Don't waste your time.

Great job by all the actors. Especially Diane Lane.She is sexy as hell and totally believable in this part. I really like seeing Richard Gere playing the person who was cheated on instead of the stud he has always played in the past. Olivier Martinez did a great job in his part also. Overall I think the story was believable and acted well by everyone. Diane Lane could not have been sexier!

Kinda corny in some scenes but overall a good movie.Seeing the real Japanese Zeroes and P-40 warhawks etc. add to the enjoyment for me.Couldn't care about the love story really but thats nbd.

The great cast makes this movie worth watching.

Top notch production in every way. I nearly forgot I wasn't watching the real royal family. Helen Mirren gives a flawless interpretation of the queen as do entire ensemble of actors.Well done,very well done.

Such a beautiful movie. The Cinematography is exquisite. Of course it doesn't hurt that the beauty spoke of in the title is the ultimate beauty, that of woman. I could have used a bit less of Oliver Platt's character spoiling the wonderful mood of the piece but still way worth the trip.

Top notch acting from everyone but Gregg Allman, not that he was necessarily bad he wasn't. But he gave basically a one note performance. But in all fairness he wasn't a professional actor and the rest of the cast are at their peak in this movie. Hard to watch at times but that's part of why it's so damn good.

I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler's movies usually but this one is the exception. Spanglish in my opinion is a wonderful movie.It's sweet and kind and has more heart than several of his other movies combined IMHO anyway. Tea Leoni's character is a bit over the top and very hard to take most of the time but to experience the rest of this movie it's worth it to me anyway.

Could have been, should have been a much better movie. With the stars and the budget it looks like was spent to make this film sadly was mostly wasted. They had all that was needed to make a good if not great movie. More money spent on the script would have been the better way to go. Sad really. Still it is fun to see Kurt Russell do his Elvis shtick again!

In my modest opinion I think this film is uneven. The acting not very good. It seems forced somehow, like when the couple first get to the party the greetings seem overdone and forced. Not natural at all. That's just a for instance as there are many more scenes that seem that way the bathroom scene with the overdosing nude girl for another example. I think if the movie wasn't directed by Stanley Kubrick it would not be as well reviewed or received as it is.With this cast and a year and a half to make I expected a coherent story, good performances etc. I expected more, much more. And don't get me started on the just plain weird goings-on at the costume rental company and let's not forget the cheesy sex cult. When I read it took Kubrick and company a year and a half to make this movie all I kept thinking was what in the world were they doing because it certainly doesn't show on screen.
