Gratuitous violence in episode one was so grotesque & horrifying I had to turn it off when they began setting the lynched man on fire while having lunch in the yard! WHY depict that? Who exactly is the target audience? Presumably the morons who stormed the Capitol might have suitable sensibilities. The messaging was so over the top & objectionable, I watched reruns of Call The Midwife to recuperate. Sorry folks but shock value alone is not enough...

I found it outstanding! Recommend it as a fantastic way to spend a cold rainy winter afternoon. Or even a bright & beautiful winter afternoon. Great flick. First rate acting. I figured out the plot but it was a joy to watch it unfold onscreen.
