Kathy Bates is just so pitch perfect as Matlock! Every detail of her performance, from her folksy drawl to the way she perpetually and breathlessly trots behind her young peers trying to keep up, is just a joy to watch.

Love the throwbacks to season 1. The central mystery is the best one by far of all the seasons with the victims being unprecedented for a crime drama.
Jodie Foster and Kali Reis are so so stellar, separately and together. The accent work is so meticulous, as good as Mare of Eassttown (why is no one talking about this 😆)
The mood, the settings, the spookiness, the acting..... this has become my favorite TD of all. I already want a season 2 of season 4.
