Very well done game. This game compliments the original while giving a person who's played the game 20 years ago some new surprises. Aside from the much needed re-haul on the graphics, the new (and also familiar) battle system is fantastic! So from just the game mechanics perspective, this game is great. The atmosphere of the original with it's great story telling and cheesiness are all still here, but there are some differences--but with out giving away too much, it appears very intentional while still complimenting the original. In any case, it's a great game through and through. It might upset you slightly if you are a nit picky purist, but It's a great game considering both the original and as a stand alone title.
