I saw this film at the IFC movie theatre today, May 1, 2022. The plot on paper sounds intriguing....a World War 2 spy thriller, taking place in Shanghai with the lead actress playing an actress who is also a spy. However, the movie fails to deliver. Despite the great acting by all, it is often difficult to determine who is on what side. The movie is much too long especially the scenes where there is shooting. The motive as to why who is shooting who is unclear and some of the static scenes go on for much too long. Slicing the movie in half would have made it a better movie.

I watch the film mainly for Georges Guetary.
