For Kimberley W I played the school principal in the very last scene. I was discovered by the film production when they shot at the LA public school I worked at. This was around 1978 I think. We had been using TC [Total Communication] ever since I started there in 1973. In fact we were required to use TC at all times during the school day in the presence of our kids. The boy, Jeff Bravin went on to become a leader in the deaf world. He's worked at American School for the Deaf for over 20 years. Very cute kid, incredible adult. The film had many actual deaf people, including Billy Seago [his brother Howie was on Star Trek TNG].

Great film of its time. Jill Clayburgh and Alan Bates gave their best performances.
