As someone who has read the book, I found the lack of details and a lot of the character development quite disappointing. if you haven't read the book I'm sure you'd like the movie; HOWEVER, if you do wish to know more details, I HIGHLY recommend the book (and the book might make you cry more than the movie did, I know it did for me).
All The Bright Places is hands down one of my favorite books and for the movie to not be as consistent as the book was very disappointing :/
