Sky Guide Africa South 2022 is an annual publication that will help you identify stars and constellations throughout different seasons. This practical guide for beginner to professional astronomers has a wide variety of charts, sun rise and set times as well as moon rise and set times. With monthly star charts as well as a celestial almanac, you will be updated about the moon's phases and location near certain planets. We live in the Bushveld, surrounded by mountains which helps to create clear skies. From the 1st of January up until the 25th of February we have used this guide to identify stars and planets. We have a northeast view of the sky and were able to identify stars such Orion, Betelgeuse, Aldebaran and several others. As beginners, we find this guide useful. A glossary is included which helps beginners to understand certain terms. There are different categories that are informative and includes images. Some of the categories include the Sun, the Moon, planets, comets as well as stars and constellations. The more advanced astronomer will find this guide effective and will be able to utilize every aspect of this handbook. Several images are included in the Astrophotography Gallery that leaves the reader in awe of the beauty that's seen through a telescope. This essential handbook is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about Southern Africa's night sky.
