A modest remake of “Tourist Trap”. But confusingly titled house of wax. This is probably the most successful WB cast teenybopper horror film just behind “I know what you did last summer” There was a time when horror movies were casting movies with an endless amount of teen actors from all our favorite WB network of tv shows and were responsible for the death of R rated horror, giving life to the dreadful PG-13 horror era rated films. Only a handful of these films worked. This one thankfully was one of the few films that were rated R and successfully fell through the cracks. Not the best horror movie, but the best of its era.
