In a world where black sitcoms don’t get the respect and love, that they should. Family reunion is a great way and platform for the director, to push a obvious narrative (Race and racism in America). Not just from the adults perspective, but also from the younger generations. At the same time taping into the funny and wonderful things about this country, like family. Love, friends and fighting for what’s right. I like the show, it has a lot of potential.
