I loved this movie and I'm disappointed at all the hate it's getting so to all the haters out there...Im happy you never had to deal with mental illness...I'm glad you made it through high school without dealing with a classmates suicide...I'm glad you never considered it yourself...I'm glad you never told a lie that blew up in your face..and I'm especially glad that you have time on your hands to write so passionately about hating a movie...kudos to Ben Platt for playing the role even though he's been criticized mercilessly.. 5 stars all the way

Ok look...do you want a review that's written by a regular movie watcher and not some pompous snob who uses big words to confuse the reader in an effort to sound like their a professional as oppose to just someone who watched a movie...then is is the review to read...it's pretty easy...3 categories that make a film worth watching or not...1.does it fit in it's genre...YES..this is a horror flick...the jump scares are somewhat predictable but it's gross and anxious and there's a lot of screaming and running...so obviously not a comedy...2.is the acting good...YES AND YES...I never went to acting school so I depend on the believability of the actor...and both the girls young and mature worked seamlessly...very impressive that the main character fit so well with her older self..kudos to the actresses...and 3. And the most important...is it an original story...it's 2020 and everything has been done and done and done again...somewhat of a spoiler here just a warning...YES YES AND YES...the story of a girl going through something traumatic escaping into her own head while her sister tries to bring her out of it to keep her alive was amazing...I haven't seen it before...I don't spend my life watching movies but I've seen a few and this was exceptional as a story...so ignore the haters and the idiotic descriptions of inane reviewing...it's an original horror movie with good acting...if your into horror this is well worth the watch...5 stars the end
