One of the best strategy games ever made. The game has got to be one of the most fun and addicting games ever made. It is easy to learn for people who are unfamiliar with this type of game, but can still provide adequate challenge as there are 8 difficulty levels to choose from. Doing multiplayer with your friends can be even more fun. The gameplay is very good and the fun factor is there. This is one of the first games I would recommend to anyone looking to get into turn based strategy games or just strategy games in general. 10 out of 10, this game is flawless in my eyes.

Being perfectly honest while this game is good, it isn't as good as most of the other doom games. The combat is still fun, and I appreciate the harder difficulty, but half the time I felt like I was playing a climbing game and not a FPS game. Too much climbing and not enough combat. I also didn't like how you get very little shotgun shells, even if the other weapons get good amounts of ammo. Come on man, this is Doom, shotguns are a key component of this game and should get a lot more ammo. The new mechanics are nice but they made the game feel less like a Doom game. Overall this is a 3 out of 5 for me because while it is fun and the atmosphere is great, there are too many changes that made the game less great than it could have been.
