Joels death scene is a perfect metaphor for this game. We all watched in horror whilst the story we loved was gratuitously bludgeoned to death before our eyes whilst we were powerless to do anything about it. What a bitter disappointment. I could forgive them for writing Joels death if it was justified by a good story, sadly however the story was tortuous, bitter and ultimately fruitless. It was not enjoyable in any way, it wasn't even interesting or original. A moral story about the pitfalls of revenge, how boring. Part 2 pretty much spoiled everything that was beautiful about the The Last Of Us Part 1. Poor writing indeed. Neil Druckmann must be surrounded by 'yes' people, because this was a terrible idea that should have never seen the light of day. If I could get my money back, I would.
