It's Ghostbusters so I liked it. But it's interesting how many fan reviews focus on comparing Afterlife to the originals. I find myself comparing it more to ATC instead. And I must say I liked the 2016 reboot better. It was much funnier. It did a better job of recapturing the Ghostbusters team chemistry and dynamics and tone, with SNL actors. There are no Ghostbusters in Afterlife (unless you count the cameo at the end). It's just kids. I like the ATC music, and the ghosts better too. They were way cooler. You can see the extra money in the CGI. It's a shame the 2016 movie didn't fare better. Afterlife just isn't as much fun. Maybe we can get a crossover?
