At last we have a coherent explanation of the way the wealthy have coerced the governments of this world into helping the rich get richer whilst the poor continue to struggle. The wealthy and governments will often say that poverty in the world is decreasing as a result of capitalist policies but the mass migration of people; the lack of hope in democratic governments and the continued rise of the wealthy few is symbolic of a world in which the wealthy con the rest of us into believing that they deserve their wealth regardless of the plight of others. As in the history of the world when Colonial powers stripped poorer nations of their natural resources so today are the wealthy one percent continuing this same barbaric greedy purge of resources that might allow for a more humane world in which cooperation and compassion might allow growth and development instead of competition and avarice.

A really interesting and imaginative film. The exploration of life from a neurodiverse feminine perspective It is clear that neurodiverse people see the world in different ways. This is represented symbolically in many ways in the film. A central theme was the male dominance of females and how men really struggle to accept a female with an independent mind; a female who needs and wants to explore their sexuality and identity and how scientific exploration can be a very linear path of enquiry that can exclude emotions and feelings. The central character portrays a character ‘created by man’ in the pursuit of scientific curiosity and exploration and offers a neuro diverse perspective of the world. What is really interesting is how this young women is able to grow and develop use her own mind and curiosity in order to break free of the shackles imposed by a mans captivity and to forge her own way in life by learning from her own experiences. Brilliantly acted and written and set in very creative and imaginative contexts. Highly recommended.

The Following Events Are Based on a Pack of Lies

A brilliant portrayal of misogny and how frightening a powerful and threatening man can be to a woman. Written and produced by women the drama goes to the core of male power and coercive control by misogynistic men. It is at times quirky and at other times very uncomfortable viewing but this demonstrates and helps the viewer to feel what it might be like to be being controlled by a misogynist. A very brave and groundbreaking drama that highlights the relevance of male misogny in todays world. We need more female led dramas to highlight the hidden and unspoken aspects of todays society as recent events in the news show the men continue to treat women badly and society appears to learn and do nothing about it.

This book is a very good read. It captures the internal and external conflicts of the two main protagonists - a young German boy who is carried along by the fast current of German supremacy and a young french girl who is blind and relies upon her sense of memory and intuition for her safety. On opposite sides of a futile war they come together in a way that allows some sort of salvation and appeasement for both of them. He is troubled by a futile ideology that sees young women and girls sacrificed in a brutal way whilst she holds on to hope that goodness will prevail. He provides this for her in an interesting way bringing together his lost hopes and innocence re his sister. Highly recommended.
